01 · Plan

A trip from one prompt.

The AI planner turns a short prompt into a living trip: days, places, a map, and a first route without opening a dozen tabs.

02 · Prepare

Preparation next to the plan.

Checklists, documents, and visa context live beside the itinerary — no separate folder, no extra tabs.

03 · Refine

Action chat

Ask in plain words.
Watch your trip change.

Ask for a plan in plain language. JourneyBay searches, validates, returns places as tappable cards, and updates your itinerary in context.

  1. Tell JourneyBay what you want: "two sunset places and dinner within 15 minutes."
  2. The engine searches places, walks the route, checks venue hours, matches your taste.
  3. Tap a place card and add it straight to Day 2.
  4. Keep going — search around the place you just added.
Place intelligence

Places that fit the moment.

Search across more signals, understand why a place fits, and check venue status when data is available.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you wanted to know about JourneyBay 2.0

What is the AI Travel Engine?
The AI Travel Engine is the rebuilt core of JourneyBay 2.0. Unlike a typical AI chat that only replies in text, the engine uses 25 tools: it searches places, builds routes, imports bookings, checks visa context, and edits the trip inside the conversation.
What is Bring Your Own LLM (BYO LLM)?
Plug in your own OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google key and use JourneyBay with your AI provider. Keys stay with you — we never proxy or store your prompts. Useful for power users who want control over AI costs and limits.
What is MCP access?
The MCP Server exposes authorized JourneyBay trip data to compatible AI clients: Claude Desktop, Codex, Cursor, and others. Access is gated by user authorization — you approve every action. Ideal for developers and AI-first workflows.
How many countries are supported?
All countries and citizenships. The engine factors destination, passport, pace, and preferences into your itinerary automatically.
How is JourneyBay different from Google Maps or TripAdvisor?
JourneyBay is all-in-one: AI generates the itinerary, imports your bookings from PDFs, considers visas and preferences. No more switching between a dozen apps — everything in one workspace with personalization.
Can I import bookings?
Yes. JourneyBay recognizes bookings from PDFs, photos, and screenshots — hotels, flights, trains, rentals. It extracts dates, places, and confirmation codes and adds them to your trip.
How accurate is the visa information?
JourneyBay shows visa context based on official government sources. Always verify critical travel requirements with embassies, consulates, and official government portals before traveling.
What are AI tokens?
Tokens are the internal currency for AI requests. Every plan includes 25,000 tokens. You can purchase additional tokens at any time inside the app.
Does JourneyBay work offline?
No, the AI assistant and up-to-date data require an internet connection.
Are group trips supported?
Not yet, but collaborative planning is one of the priority features on our roadmap.
