Singapore in 3 Days: Itinerary
Three days is enough to see futuristic Singapore — the Marina Bay waterfront, the gardens of the future, multicultural quarters and Sentosa island. The city is compact and the MRT links everything quickly and cheaply.
Budget for 3 days runs about S$250–900 per person excluding flights. Singapore is pricey for hotels, but hawker centres keep food affordable.
Day 1: Marina Bay
The city's heart: Marina Bay Sands, Gardens by the Bay with the Supertree Grove (free evening light show) and the Cloud Forest dome (~S$28). End with the Spectra laser show by the bay.
Day 2: quarters and culture
Chinatown, Little India and Arab Street's Kampong Glam with Haji Lane. Lunch at Maxwell hawker centre (Hainanese chicken rice, S$4–6). Evening at Clarke Quay.
Day 3: Sentosa
Sentosa island: Universal Studios (~S$82), beaches, the cable car and views. Alternative: Singapore Zoo and the Night Safari, among the world's best.
Budget and transport
Stay: hostel S$25–45, 3-star S$90–160. Food: hawker centres S$4–8, cafés S$15–25. Transit: MRT S$1–2 per ride, EZ-Link card handy. Total for 3 days: budget S$250–350, comfortable S$600–900 excluding flights.
